Seems like just yesterday Mommy and Daddy were talking about the baby in Mommy's belly and how they'd be bringing home a new brother for me to play with. I didn't know what Mommy's fat belly had to do with a baby or what the heck a "brother" was but I just listened politely when they read me these silly books about new babies.<br /><br />Well... then it happened. The baby showed up one day and things haven't been the same since. We named him Theo only I can't </span><span style="font-family:verdana;">say it so good and it comes out sounding like "Yay-yo" which Mommy thinks is really cute. He's sure taking up a lot of Mommy and Daddy's time what with always wanting to be fed, pooping and making a lot of noise. Mommy says I did the same things when I was a baby but I can't believe I was ever so noisy! Daddy says I'm way noisier than Theo any day. Yay! I win!<br /><br />Even though I have to share Mommy and Daddy</span><span style="font-family:verdana;"> with him, </span><span style="font-family:verdana;">having a little brother is pretty cool </span><span style="font-family:verdana;">so far. We even hung out under the jungle gym</span><span style="font-family:verdana;"> mat for a little bit.<br /><br /><span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho2DOJO-z-QZNuPxmxSyLR3a4Ei2fGBPN7DF2GwN_YSskLze6qScxYIgDq3wDPBn1uJHKpvuChEMLFY8wp4EwDVrpCeMIInmVu0-__fgMEDKTNljZjP1XzJr-JDlPbldNDln5iA6zvcTg/s1600/IMG_0396.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho2DOJO-z-QZNuPxmxSyLR3a4Ei2fGBPN7DF2GwN_YSskLze6qScxYIgDq3wDPBn1uJHKpvuChEMLFY8wp4EwDVrpCeMIInmVu0-__fgMEDKTNljZjP1XzJr-JDlPbldNDln5iA6zvcTg/s320/IMG_0396.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522056120841108690" border="0" /></a></span><br />I can't wait until he gets older and we can REALLY play! Until then I'll just have to start showing him the ropes!<br /><br /><br /><br /></span>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-86654284330326385262010-06-30T11:40:00.000-07:002010-07-06T09:59:13.091-07:00Bubbles!Oh boy, do I love bubbles! Mommy and Daddy started blowing bubbles to me in the tub the other day for the first time, and I surprised them by knowing the word already. They wouldn't let me do what I REALLY wanted to do, which is to eat the bubble wand, but we had fun anyway!<br /><br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyJEs-Iz_aRODjI1N1WMPFFBUJJL8L73_RnojzkbRdlInCDag-PdMoVxgUOLfv1N0TsivEspxOriZLrstPc' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br /><br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxhDBT-Ric6404R1edYmWAqp4w-5cRtb8Td7Ioo2VL115SXSOKIM2ZMIdTAVKR5KVFLvOP18NZsytN_E6B2ug' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-63410530870104892082010-05-31T21:16:00.000-07:002010-05-31T21:24:28.053-07:00Walkin, yes indeed, I'm walkin!Crawling is soooooo last month! These legs of mine are a little wobbly, but with lots of encouragement from Mommy and Daddy, I'm getting the hang of it. week was my birthday! I made it a full year with these yahoos as parents. It wasn't easy, but I'm still here. I even taught them a thing or two along the way about how to address my every whim and desire. It's good to be the king!<br /><br />For my birthday, Mom, Dad, and Grandma Julie went to the <a href="http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/">Bay Area Discovery Museum</a> in Marin, just across the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a lot of fun! We spent most of our time there in the "Tot Spot", where I could crawl through tunnels and play with water. So much fun to get so wet!<br /><br />Though, they made me wear a silly hat and apron in an attempt to keep me dry (as if!)<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig5pr05KTlB02VdcgfQbxQN70w_Z8PLXlfChgzebJZpAEBqziaqCKzegY23dM-Bl4l5UQeFlHUHSY2k3z6p3FzXZ71gYCZkctRTUG2HGDz-SFSprRbFPfZ9zl2Ako7mwMNwgs2n0EgMXU/s1600-h/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+013.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig5pr05KTlB02VdcgfQbxQN70w_Z8PLXlfChgzebJZpAEBqziaqCKzegY23dM-Bl4l5UQeFlHUHSY2k3z6p3FzXZ71gYCZkctRTUG2HGDz-SFSprRbFPfZ9zl2Ako7mwMNwgs2n0EgMXU/s320/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+013.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450048093699890578" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Here I am whacking the water wall in the tunnel:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW41RWIqw_slKYTBYNGiXMEtybNnLjJUpUi8WK4CJbnjkGQOr8O3TzhQchQw7p4QA0bWqswSmkKpa6Wb4N3m70NhxiCPmIQmkP4VdOdq8HFPpPtI-xtl8v0QChiOnQI70YOAoHpw6H-_Q/s1600-h/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+020.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW41RWIqw_slKYTBYNGiXMEtybNnLjJUpUi8WK4CJbnjkGQOr8O3TzhQchQw7p4QA0bWqswSmkKpa6Wb4N3m70NhxiCPmIQmkP4VdOdq8HFPpPtI-xtl8v0QChiOnQI70YOAoHpw6H-_Q/s320/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+020.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450048907414634274" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />And here I'm showing a fish who's boss:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYZ6sBOLMHR_3bVLn7GoEKYcGHdKxMR3AJdxdjCDP6TvSSGXvlJYPFa7Stx5r5iCL1Q3KDDwFncjQ1m7uBDMe1Rwq3MB62dxmT5qH7FnM4K91zqPIuU-vEw5KFC22Td15S6aWM-yYFh6Y/s1600-h/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+007.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYZ6sBOLMHR_3bVLn7GoEKYcGHdKxMR3AJdxdjCDP6TvSSGXvlJYPFa7Stx5r5iCL1Q3KDDwFncjQ1m7uBDMe1Rwq3MB62dxmT5qH7FnM4K91zqPIuU-vEw5KFC22Td15S6aWM-yYFh6Y/s320/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+007.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450048372786470978" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />There were some buttons inside that made cricket noises, and I love making noise:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg41s9m8Y51YjDm70wQnW_LxtgyUF8IW1KFmR7UVteRsdOQrO-G5hZt2WCpb0ZOPZJ-OZO3H5LRGaHqbmpFbDm0Sk1FdnQvB4NwWvJv8L91CTgaSGSQS_KvdOOZO84VH5YjLq_kdVxwrwM/s1600-h/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+014.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg41s9m8Y51YjDm70wQnW_LxtgyUF8IW1KFmR7UVteRsdOQrO-G5hZt2WCpb0ZOPZJ-OZO3H5LRGaHqbmpFbDm0Sk1FdnQvB4NwWvJv8L91CTgaSGSQS_KvdOOZO84VH5YjLq_kdVxwrwM/s320/Riley+1st+BDay+Weekend+014.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450047718393555618" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />We had a great time! You should buy it, it's great.<br /><br />They read it to me all the time, and there is a part in the middle where they get all excited and say "BoBo!" while bouncing me on their knee and squeezing me tight. It has to do with a monkey or something, I don't know. I laugh politely, but have been meaning to tell them for quite some time that they were saying it wrong.<br /><br />Two weeks ago, I decided to tell them about their mispronunciation. So, when we got to that part of the book and Daddy did his little song and dance about "BoBo", I corrected him. I said, "Daddy, it clearly says "DODO", not "BOBO" Duh!". Though, I guess it came out as "D'oh... D'oh".<br /><br />Dad thought this was monumental, so he called Mommy into the room and we had to repeat the whole routine. What's the big deal? It's only words! They acted like I've never spoken before, when I quite clearly remember telling them lots of things. Like the time I said "This AC/DC song is so very derivative. I vastly prefer their earlier work." Maybe they need to clean out their ears.<br /><br />Since that day, I've been dumbing down my vocabulary a bit so they can understand what I'm saying. Now, I'm slipping in a "Mommy" here and a "Dada" there. Mommy seemed a little sad that I was saying "Dada" to Daddy so often, so now I call everything "Dada", from my water bottle to the dog to a roll of toilet paper. All of them are "Dada" until she gets over it.<br /><br />Then, I'll <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNkp4QF3we8">switch to saying Mommy</a> and she'll likely wish I hadn't after a while.<br /><br />Oh, and there's some news about a little brother showing up in August. He'll have some learning to do - this is MY house, we play by MY rules, pal.Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-65983499248197748722010-01-04T09:39:00.001-08:002010-01-04T09:59:38.388-08:009 Month picturesA few weeks ago, Mommy and Daddy got all dressed up and took me to see a picture lady. I love them and always want more! However, after a while I started having a bit more trouble with my plumbing. Things were just clogged up and moving a little slower "down there". I didn't think much of it, but Mommy and Daddy and Nanny Bella seemed a little concerned. No worries guys, my tummy was just working overtime on all the new foods!<br /><br />A few days after we got back I went 4 days without making a mess of a single diaper. Mommy and Daddy were trying their best to get the process moving. It was fun to play bicycle with my legs so much, but nothing seemed to happen.<br /><br />Then, we went for a walk to meet up with some other Mommy's and Daddy's. We stopped on the way back so Daddy could nap in the breeze on a great day. Mommy and I hung out a little bit.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga3teZ-Kkrp6hYtakfX8TtHrtRucQPZM4XML5-n_U6nNSPOmbwcffL_draFyJc3UFeKN0-S7-MasXq_QoUWBQrwE0ZquuJKRGrGOMarf_hQZ3BrgfOkrP2Ke0wYtXvn71Fx7Xj42ExbRk/s1600-h/100_2808.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga3teZ-Kkrp6hYtakfX8TtHrtRucQPZM4XML5-n_U6nNSPOmbwcffL_draFyJc3UFeKN0-S7-MasXq_QoUWBQrwE0ZquuJKRGrGOMarf_hQZ3BrgfOkrP2Ke0wYtXvn71Fx7Xj42ExbRk/s320/100_2808.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5384804379352312402" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />No way was I going to let Daddy nap on such a beautiful day! That's way far away, in Southern California. I had lots of fun traveling in the car with Mommy and Daddy singing to me the whole time. We were going there for a big party for my cousin JJ. Seems like only yesterday I was just a teeny tiny baby that did nothing but eat, sleep and poop. Well, OK, I still do a alot of those things, but I do other stuff, too.</span><br /><br /><br /><div align="left"></div><span style="font-family:verdana;">Mommy got me a mirror to play with when I do tummy time. I think she thinks that it distracts me so I don't realize that I'm on my tummy. She's wrong, of course, but I like the mirror so much that I stay on my tummy for a while. Plus, it makes Mommy happy. When I get bored with the mirror I just flop over onto my back which makes Mommy and Daddy laugh and clap which I don't really understand. What's the big deal?</span><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbS4zZsxlsuE1Nf2MtwwFTCfIvynbmCa6ZwAva9U268gQkwmiw4lZTbNVlz16SR9evPP91oe359T-CCUJqMFpCygF0f4mLXVv8eoBwoopLZ7jkBgRi73eluVlsAFmmu5BkTO0sEGIRdGw/s1600-h/100_2727.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374114364098581442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbS4zZsxlsuE1Nf2MtwwFTCfIvynbmCa6ZwAva9U268gQkwmiw4lZTbNVlz16SR9evPP91oe359T-CCUJqMFpCygF0f4mLXVv8eoBwoopLZ7jkBgRi73eluVlsAFmmu5BkTO0sEGIRdGw/s320/100_2727.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /></p><p><span style="font-family:Verdana;">The other day I got to help Mommy open up a package from Great Grandpa Kilian and Florrie. Turned out all the stuff inside was for me! They made me a quilt with somebody named Bart Simpson on it. Mommy says I better not ever behave like Bart but he looks nice enough on my quilt so I'm not sure why. They also made me a thingy that goes into shopping cart seats to make them comfy. It looks like a doggie. I can't wait to try that out just as soon as I can sit up by myself. I'm still practicing that. But the best part about getting presents is playing in the box!</span><br /></p><br /><br /><div align="left"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374114334223415042" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFmoyni7yrbVKlGupy4i6L2a8KR47ZlRj3ckzO-zdZR2YQkUzqn_qb9kjcsnrFt1MnGk3uztpYUJbwZrMcUpj2Pj_jlHuF4ndKuqKyv1lajJr-zBIftkx2mZJpE5xSp4cMS9q2EeX8MQs/s320/100_2705-01.jpg" border="0" /><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">We also got to go to a puppet show in the park. Mostly Mommy and Daddy stood around taking pictures of me which they do all the time anyway so I don't know why we went to the park to do it. There was one really neat puppet that looked like a doggy. It was a Mary Annette puppet, whatever that means. Seems like they just shoulda called it the doggy puppet.</span><br /><br /><br /><div align="left"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374114342889062146" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUG71e_ITXtndZInZqQ9HCF8i12frcCr4H-2_2Ya2isy7-aj0Q9PXGJy2InVYU-PKEKsT9eKFDdY4BENDe04ULogQXny0fWZRS5LX3pUEM99obj_rL9Hd70haT2ZXxPqn2HAEw40CmYOg/s320/100_2721.jpg" border="0" /><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Mommy and Daddy say its important to have a bedtime routine. We do lots of stuff to get ready for bed at our house. Mommy feeds me and gets me to burp. Then I get to get naked and do one of my all time favorite things: take a bath. Baths are so much fun! I love splashing around in the water and seeing how much stuff I can get wet. </span><br /><br /></div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><span style="font-family:verdana;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374114354954174642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr83k70jqUmZZHPZLSNaABg0cQhtlJJSyMppsQppjhdf9HukmtHTfbRESvnjGzyXkFxR66hFS9A0yPWv9usevGmQvmEzuOhDbCVQbCUS84aSclgyd45O9AhWduNCmt-hA4eSLh3UA3iDc/s320/100_2725.jpg" border="0" /><br /></span><span style="font-family:verdana;"></div></span><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Then I get a massage with some yummy smelling lotion. After that we play a game while they get me dressed in about a million different layers of clothes. Mommy and Daddy call the game "baby wrestling". After that I'm pretty tired from all the wrestling so I get a good night kiss from one of them and the other one reads me a bedtime story. Then I get one more hug and kiss and they put me in my crib with my lovey. I like to suck on the ribbons a while before I fall asleep. I like it best when it's over my face but Mommy doesn't like it when I do that 'cause she thinks I can't breathe. But I can. It's OK, Mommy!</span><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374124837578795586" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPQi9CcK8s-rQG8t2Gp1n-O8QhBP7Ab5ldwXhvgpzxVmS4oRhTtJWxgEADhmB0i2FptxwSaNGyBYEAuVzWY8x796eKyCZNcEsJgk1N_NVecIY71YjzbwB6aGuZwFy_7IHSaDA3LMXwnJs/s320/100_2850.jpg" border="0" /></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:130%;">Good Night!</span><br /><br /><br /></div>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-80587794030112341402009-07-31T20:08:00.000-07:002009-07-31T20:35:00.695-07:00I've got skills!<span style="font-family:verdana;">Hi Everybody!</span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;">I've been really busy learning new things over the past month. Mommy was complaining that they had packed way more stuff for me than for the two of them put together. I don't know why though. I'm so little! They had so much stuff they were going to "gate check" me. They thought it was a good idea but the lady at the counter didn't think it was funny. They even put a pink tag on my car seat just in case the lady changed her mind:<br /><div><div><div><div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyR95gxO1bny2Bfyshrh0deO7vN6D4N4b7tk0CTC8tkkoVmgGW_OXmoCDuRqKbdMGpTkmr6smDcBph3yinaoqorwaiZvlPz72KhepaZ1KdqVuYkykbntOvgYkPDti8Ndz4UhS83zYCaHY/s1600-h/100_2510.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352967257404812898" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; width: 240px; height: 320px; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyR95gxO1bny2Bfyshrh0deO7vN6D4N4b7tk0CTC8tkkoVmgGW_OXmoCDuRqKbdMGpTkmr6smDcBph3yinaoqorwaiZvlPz72KhepaZ1KdqVuYkykbntOvgYkPDti8Ndz4UhS83zYCaHY/s320/100_2510.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div><div>To get to Michelle's house we had to go up in this big tin thing called an airplane. It was way better than driving because I didn't have to stay in my car seat and Mommy could feed me even though we were moving. She fed me a lot on the airplane! Something about take-off and landing and my ears. I didn't pay attention much to what she was talking about, I was just excited to get to eat so much. </div><br /><div>We got to stop off at Grandma Joan and Grandpa Jim's house for a BBQ before heading to the hotel for bed. Mommy was very excited to see everyone and I got to meet lots of nice people. At the hotel I got a big old queen size pull-out all to myself. Mommy and Daddy put cushions all around me to make me feel snuggly. I slept pretty good! </div><br /><div>The next day we wandered around Old Town Fort Collins and that was alright. Mostly I just slept in my car seat. Then we went to Michelle's wedding. Here's Michelle with Grandma Joan and Grandpa Jim:<br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352967262556028690" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXAzeeBzRW57fo8Y1sR6-rRoCokKpl4xAybtbGTVVHZAb2aOurI0Wniql0_EHhKchtYIJOwOTkSC1SUFRR2fP5VTbuxXWUtg2ZbH8ZEcgHXkDMsgFX_gB_eegU0L7h5KqLT7Uv_GdAHns/s320/100_2529.jpg" border="0" />After the wedding we went to a reception which is kind of like a restaurant only the food is free and everybody is dressed all fancy. Mommy and Daddy dressed me all fancy, too. I was even wearing a hat that seemed to frustrate Mommy alot.</div><br /><div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352967271767212994" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8PeZr4OYrbtoixynYo1nMfr9bQ39ez2oKvXM8v7rP9H6dZCljhuVWuAslIrC4g6FeSv05nnPPFrvw9uBKfBpfSaG3lI9YVBxbY_0YV3BcxkJbPedhh8Od7mmj55AL9xgN3VVCR-0VtPs/s320/100_2539.jpg" border="0" /></div></div></div></div><p>But finally she got it just right:</p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352967281681633842" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; width: 320px; height: 290px; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigAVYUwAfRyGfYFSEKQXT-JZgfULdXI4Pjazj-4rYbgfaypng5MXW_SQtpAISbg3PXdUdbRGEnRVeUvO9RsWzZ_jY0CmH5UBkH_zttlPBMK9CBgCOl4_ErL21Fn02d3C1JMgC_FGFSyss/s320/100_2545-1.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>And we even got a family picture together with all of us dressed up all fancy:</p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5352967267592642066" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center;" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd6RWq94qYEvTU4-65MAeIesi-1Z-YiQcG-rLWysohR_vxJ-RYv_5KP-Hlf3wEnQfY2xBVGMCOK3laQpCFEfZf_KEZZKdldF8pht2LgbAWcfCgMiD7T9Hov7taA405FbyFrq8rAGF_ovA/s320/100_2534.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>The reception was pretty fun until the waitress bonked me in the head with the blunt end of a table knife. It really hurt and I cried a lot. But Mommy and Daddy kept their cool and took care of me. Mommy fed me and soon I felt all better. They spent the rest of the evening looking for concussions. Every time they looked for one they woke me up. I didn't like that much because I was so tired. They seemed pretty tired, too. And they never did find the concussions. </p><p>On Sunday we went to Denver to visit Mommy's friend Mack and his family. I got to get in a big bath tub called a pool. Mommy must not have checked the water on her wrist before we went in because it was colder than I'm used to. I turned 3 months old this past week and Mommy and Daddy thought it would be a good idea to go get "portraits" done. I was very excited about the portraits until I learned that "portrait" is just a fancy word for picture. What's the big deal about that?</span><br /><div><br /><div><span style="font-family:verdana;">Anyway, they got me all dressed up in one of my favorite track suits and my new Vans and drove us down to a big store called "Sears" where they make the portraits. I fell asleep in the car and was still a little groggy when they put me in this funny chair thingy and a strange lady, Mommy, Daddy AND Grandma all started to try to get me to smile. With all those people making silly faces at me and talking to me in funny voices, I didn't know who to pay attention to and it really stressed me out! So, most of the pictures... portraits... whatever(!) look like this:</span></div><div></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347362354195934114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhto1mwd8yfFRME8DoLEya28lKsxZN7MPghdAcNYWsLrygzmjKpH78cBE2aOLjv-LUi2tF-Q2NEP5s9WKrweJ-KLZByh934rOQYFLm9rVgGNK5LTDC-xZH_1SACM6L76wMJSfZTY-FBXrc/s320/S41478CC113630_4-1.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">But the picture lady did manage to get a couple of pictures that Mommy and Daddy thought were cute. I don't really care a whole lot but they seem happy. Here's one they like a lot:</span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347363304820771554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcNPkiG_P_12CakOKzgcdk2m_umVFzrDdUoSotmAq8c3L5V3UrmmKQ0JYhqn4L1cuF6SF3vwD0m0jwe_mSytnfknfo_huOf1VK7LyLGdaT7RxsLijZxDujmznO_cu2rr4Vc9PYszCcnJA/s320/s41478cc113630_3_2.jpg" border="0" /></span></p><span style="font-family:verdana;">I am pretty cute, aren't I?</span>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-62038613437815105792009-06-10T21:02:00.000-07:002009-06-10T21:38:42.684-07:00Grammy's visit<div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>Over the past few days, I've had a chance to hang out with and spit up onto a person that Daddy calls "Mommy" but that I'm supposed to call "Grammy". It's very confusing, but boy is she a lot of fun. She has been feeding me bottles and playing with me a whole bunch, and we're getting along great! She brought me tons of new clothes that will take me weeks to try on. In the bag were some pretty rad sunglasses:<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHDr_eBrjnlgRQfiiN748wm0A8i9wm_E_lRceGJel_BZVAjNwiLIJMlRqPWAvgp7YRgSp0vYgzpAFOui7IK0OSQRr-NHmsj4T6y5mxIYy0nL6eA9nQwNWSQm3Dxvz7bDzUj5hVBEl7lTo/s1600-h/shades.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHDr_eBrjnlgRQfiiN748wm0A8i9wm_E_lRceGJel_BZVAjNwiLIJMlRqPWAvgp7YRgSp0vYgzpAFOui7IK0OSQRr-NHmsj4T6y5mxIYy0nL6eA9nQwNWSQm3Dxvz7bDzUj5hVBEl7lTo/s320/shades.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345917684841622754" border="0" /></a><br />For the past few days after lunch, Daddy has been putting me in front of a magic window called a "mirror" where I get to see this crazy looking baby. I try and try to talk to him, but he just stares back at me and copies all my movements, the little creep. I'm hoping to win him over with some smiles and more pleasant chatter in a few weeks. He sure is good lookin, though!Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-46477087649137949082009-05-31T20:50:00.001-07:002009-06-10T16:13:11.790-07:00Camping!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikbnhIw8ISLk-1LBDB4dbfaJmFf6yDW6kQF7K8cS8xbnTm-fHwszr4a_XXykGV_FRfFs4moBJ5gZjnGKJAu1cNgEf66Iw8FskJR_iZgfpOC_BRPza90Rm4VJSdmhf4VzPItKWHGdEQBKM/s1600-h/100_2448-01.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342201838729732770" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 272px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikbnhIw8ISLk-1LBDB4dbfaJmFf6yDW6kQF7K8cS8xbnTm-fHwszr4a_XXykGV_FRfFs4moBJ5gZjnGKJAu1cNgEf66Iw8FskJR_iZgfpOC_BRPza90Rm4VJSdmhf4VzPItKWHGdEQBKM/s320/100_2448-01.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Mommy and Daddy took me to a place called "camping" this past weekend. We lived in a big red box Mommy called the "Tajma-tent" because it was so big. Mommy bought me a funny bed called a pea pod. It was pretty comfy and I slept almost 8 whole hours in it the first night before my tummy started rumbling. One of my favorite parts of the trip was when Mommy and Daddy brought me into their bed. It was fun laying around with them.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;">When we weren't hanging out in Tajma-tent we were sitting around a dancing light thingy Daddy called a "fire". Mommy and Daddy kept putting me in funny hats depending on what time of day it was. Big floppy hats for the day... warm fuzzy hats for the night. And there was even one with ears... not sure what that was for except to make me feel silly. Here I am in that hat while Mommy reads me a story.</span><br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342204227772741298" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg09DNgTr1-q0jp83-LTph0NK4U-LXw_CPjSePdaJevHX54ld4QWgHFq6NBeItoD4jzSo8-mCri3GBD2l7itOTHNE_uEOHaXGQSJLwphGCSKQJ6YcPs99uQbh1UkZ1tOdKnLOKMMIc6upw/s320/100_2437.jpg" border="0" /><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;">Mommy and Daddy ate these things called s'mores. They looked really good and I can't wait until I have teeth and can try them myself. In addition to the stories that Mommy read me, we went to story time that the camp ground put on. They were funny stories... at least the other kids thought so. I didn't really understand any of them.</span><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;">Overall the trip was pretty fun. I'm kinda tired and cranky, at least that's what Mommy keeps saying. She says it might be because of the change in my routine or due to my 3 month growth spurt, whatever that means. </span><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;">Tomorrow Mommy goes back to work. She seems kinda sad and says she doesn't want to leave me, but she knows that Daddy will take good care of me while she's away. I bet we'll have lots of fun!</span>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-77108697919343844972009-05-26T21:10:00.001-07:002009-05-26T21:41:51.632-07:00Why so serious?I turned 11 weeks old today and celebrated by going to the Mommy and Me group with Daddy AND Mommy today. It was pretty fun to see my pops try to fit in with all the new moms.<br /><br />The last few days have been a mix of fun and a few not so fun moments. Mommy and Daddy are both home with me these days and we're always on the go doing something. We bought a new couch yesterday to replace the one they are always complaining about. It was fun to be whisked around in the Bjorn for a few hours and bounce on all the couches at the store. I hope they bought one that can be cleaned pretty easily, as I plan on spilling juice and finger paints all over it the first chance i get!<br /><br />I've also come down with something called "thrush", which is a pretty common thing to get they tell me. It gave me some little white sores in my mouth. To treat it, I get to eat some really yummy orange goo 4 times a day. I look forward to those goo sessions all day!<br /><br />But, the other part of the treatment is this icky purple glop that Mommy and Daddy give me once a day. This is how it tastes...<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoc-7oQrhImR84iIbODSesobHDyg6_yysTWn0vIMbgz_z24EsEPMHjlIsoGO3SqMv6b4JVj5ngp93LcoFUfb15Qc9lmoCsFiL0FHHzngwTeDp3dT6qB1xPvxfoKHrW3UZEuAq_qkHEu1A/s1600-h/joker+015.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoc-7oQrhImR84iIbODSesobHDyg6_yysTWn0vIMbgz_z24EsEPMHjlIsoGO3SqMv6b4JVj5ngp93LcoFUfb15Qc9lmoCsFiL0FHHzngwTeDp3dT6qB1xPvxfoKHrW3UZEuAq_qkHEu1A/s320/joker+015.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340357907468233682" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">It turns my mouth purple for the next 24 hours and makes people look at me funny. Daddy thinks I look like the "Joker", whoever that is.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-Ouh2uC94JZkDao6SNnU6MSiYInUIUs17fsDLffPZRiKDFlOzRFk-feAzdAeBhT72Bm0mo003mm93EN8NRZEserUOwlcD4G-SZC8A_FwT4VOCaUetGBrw5o1KWfGo4xx9GQE0sDyWkzc/s1600-h/joker+006.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-Ouh2uC94JZkDao6SNnU6MSiYInUIUs17fsDLffPZRiKDFlOzRFk-feAzdAeBhT72Bm0mo003mm93EN8NRZEserUOwlcD4G-SZC8A_FwT4VOCaUetGBrw5o1KWfGo4xx9GQE0sDyWkzc/s320/joker+006.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340358356705379442" border="0" /></a><br /></div></div></div><br />So, I've been trying to deal with it the best I can. Mommy says I'm good for handling it so well. Little does she know I'm just saving up all my angst for my teen years. Maybe then I'll dye my hair AND my mouth purple!Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-45147609529269073792009-05-24T21:05:00.000-07:002009-05-24T21:17:24.485-07:00Tummy Time!<span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">So as I was saying, mommy makes me do this tummy time thing and I don't like it much. For the next week or so, I'll have both Mommy and Daddy around to play with. I'll get all kinds of attention.<br /><br />After that, Mommy will be heading back to work and leaves me home with Daddy. I guess I'll have to put up with his mangled lullaby lyrics and ridiculous faces all day long until Mommy returns to save me :).<br /><br />I've been having lots of fun going to the sing alongs at the library. The other kids are so off key it is hilarious. Once I get a hang of my vocal system, I'll show them how it's done.<br /><br />We're going hiking this weekend in my new Baby Bjorn, the one that doesn't break Mommy and Daddy's back. Next week, it's camping!Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-74810648978623844092009-05-20T20:52:00.000-07:002009-05-20T20:54:41.951-07:00Going Hunting!<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEcI1hnMx8GmMESBnO2XgZwFyKkdFXyLGqbqk48a3Hl0qmFzR3Tlwtdo-3dJmoZLPHzf2GSLMfx134X8uuFuymuFcb3eFHVakgdPKdv1j2bucfAU1QXRAve3r6q_Jni6MG0icHq8A5ZxU/s1600-h/100_2364.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338120596905445554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEcI1hnMx8GmMESBnO2XgZwFyKkdFXyLGqbqk48a3Hl0qmFzR3Tlwtdo-3dJmoZLPHzf2GSLMfx134X8uuFuymuFcb3eFHVakgdPKdv1j2bucfAU1QXRAve3r6q_Jni6MG0icHq8A5ZxU/s320/100_2364.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />This picture is for Grandpa Les!<br /></div>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3173108178165449148.post-9467288602898712682009-05-19T21:08:00.000-07:002009-05-19T21:40:18.097-07:00Life So Far<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbreey80bizTs9GSuq7X4YSlVKp8D5PF0CsznrGbXdB9DaCT2FzIeUNpUcSA3ezzbDXcgOzkb2rUggD4pXY-7Q11TCv9CZ0mwW0zEjQuB2V1VVrdG1IeP8K7o5L8imX2ZETiicFYdE75U/s1600-h/Picture+005.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337761294245347666" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 238px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbreey80bizTs9GSuq7X4YSlVKp8D5PF0CsznrGbXdB9DaCT2FzIeUNpUcSA3ezzbDXcgOzkb2rUggD4pXY-7Q11TCv9CZ0mwW0zEjQuB2V1VVrdG1IeP8K7o5L8imX2ZETiicFYdE75U/s320/Picture+005.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Gosh, life outside the womb moves fast! </span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">It seems like Mommy is always putting me in the car seat thingy and taking me somewhere. We go running a lot in the park and mostly I just nap through that. We also go to a support group for new babies. I really like staring up at the lights and bouncing on Mommy's lap. I think she enjoys it, too. Sometimes, she takes me to a place called Babies R Us. My favorite part of that place is the "lactation room" where I get to eat after Mommy buys a lot of stuff. </span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Sometimes Daddy feeds me from a thing called a bottle. He usually has a bottle of his own, but I don't think it has milk in it. I keep thinking he'll share his, but he hasn't so far. Daddy talks to me in funny voices that make me smile. In fact, they both get very silly and giggly when I smile at them. It's pretty funny. They also sing funny songs to me. I like some better than others. Mostly I like ROCK n ROLL on the radio, but I also really like Mommy's "Poopy Butt" song. </span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">So far they've taken me down to visit Grandpa George and that was when I met my cousin JJ, Auntie Wendy and Uncle Jason. JJ is crazy and I bet we'll have a lot of fun together when we get older. Next weekend we're going "camping". I don't know what that means, but Mommy is really excited about it and keeps talking about the "pea pod" they're going to put me in. Then, in June, we're going to Mommy's friend Michelle's wedding. I get to go on my first airplane ride. I have a couple of surprises in store for them, too. Sssshhhhh..... don't tell.</span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Overall, Mommy and Daddy are doing a pretty good job taking care of me but I can tell that sometimes they're scared that they'll make a mistake. Mostly, they're great, but Mommy makes me do this horrible thing called "tummy time". It's hard and it hurts my neck because my head is so big and heavy. I try to tell her I don't like it but she just keeps doing it and cheering me on and telling me it will help me grow big and strong.</span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">I guess that's a good thing, right?</span></div></div>Riley Ohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17918047502776313229noreply@blogger.com0
