Plumbing

Note: Due to the extreme graphic nature of this post, parental supervision is advised.

After we got back from camping, Mommy and Daddy kept feeding me more and more 'nanas. I love them and always want more! However, after a while I started having a bit more trouble with my plumbing. Things were just clogged up and moving a little slower "down there". I didn't think much of it, but Mommy and Daddy and Nanny Bella seemed a little concerned. No worries guys, my tummy was just working overtime on all the new foods!

A few days after we got back I went 4 days without making a mess of a single diaper. Mommy and Daddy were trying their best to get the process moving. It was fun to play bicycle with my legs so much, but nothing seemed to happen.

Then, we went for a walk to meet up with some other Mommy's and Daddy's. We stopped on the way back so Daddy could nap in the breeze on a great day. Mommy and I hung out a little bit.

No way was I going to let Daddy nap on such a beautiful day! There was a loud rumbling in my tummy, and then Mount Riley erupted! Mommy screamed out loud, and then people were running away screaming, birds were dropping to the ground from the stench, and we started to hear emergency sirens going off!

It wasn't 3 minutes later that all these people in funny suits showed up and started putting up all this bright yellow tape. It wasn't so bad - I like yellow!

The guys in the suits were really nice! They said that it would be best if I started wearing this cool sticker on the back of my pants all the time, in case an "accident" like this were to happen again!

JJ's First Birthday

A few weeks ago, Mommy and Daddy packed up nearly everything they owned and headed off on a very long drive to a campsite in Lake Casitas. That's way far away, in Southern California. I had lots of fun traveling in the car with Mommy and Daddy singing to me the whole time. We were going there for a big party for my cousin JJ. Here's JJ with his Mommy and Daddy.

Apparently camping and birthdays mean that we get to eat a lot and have lots of fun, two things I'm particularly good at. I'm glad I was invited! I got to wear my sunhat and meet lots of new people.

My cousin JJ turned 1 year old, which means he got to make a mess of a piece of cake and not get in trouble, which he liked a lot. Everybody was staring and smiling and singing to him, which would freak me out too!

We got to hang out with my Grammy and Grandpa a lot.

Grandpa and Uncle Jason got JJ and I matching outfits! Aren't we awesome?

While we were there, Grammy and Mommy had a conversation that I could tell was about me and food. I kept hearing the word "ready" and "banana" and "why not?", and the next thing I know they were putting something goopy and sweet in my mouth. It was... interesting.

I'm always up for something new, though, and after a little while it actually started tasting really good. More nana, please!

Mommy also started giving me "raspberries", but that wasn't like the nana. She kept trying to put it on the outside of my belly, where I couldn't taste them. Raspberries are weird, they kind of tickle.

At the big party Mommy and Daddy put this funny thing on my head and told me to smile. It was very loud there with lots of other kids and grown ups around. Some of the kids thought these party things were really fun, until my kung-fu action grip broke the toy.

Then they brought the cake out. I had my plate ready, what's with the line??

Not that I needed cake, apparently, as I'm pretty well rounded already. Daddy thinks I look like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man. Whoever that is!

I also got to bounce around with Daddy in a bouncehouse, which was pretty crazy and a little scary. I was glad to get back on solid ground. I'm happy enough just looking at grass.

After a long day of partying, we were all pretty tired. It was a little cold outside and I woke up early, so Mommy and Daddy let me sleep in bed with them to stay warm! I was very cozy and snuggly sleeping on Daddy's arm for 3 hours!

Daddy's arm was "asleep" for the rest of the day, but I woke up happy and refreshed, ready to conquer another day!

Camping is becoming one of my favorite activities! Except when they leave me in the tent - let me out, I wanna play!!

I can't wait for my first birthday - I already have my hat ready!
